Partners:
David W. Miller, CPA
David is a graduate of Muhlenberg College and in public practice since 1981 when he joined the practice founded by his father, Roy Miller. David has considerable experience in taxation, financial reporting, auditing, litigation support and business advisory issues across a wide range of closely held and non-profit businesses. He had regularly taught accounting, taxation and finance at Allentown College. David is the accounting and auditing partner in the firm.
Matthew B. Searles, CPA, PFS, ChFC
Matthew joined the practice on August 18, 2009 as part of a merger with Miller, Bahr & Wills, PC to form our new practice entity of Miller, Searles, Bahr & Wills, LLC. Prior to his previous practice, he was employed by KPMG Peat Marwick.
Lester R. Bahr, CPA
Les is an accounting graduate of Wilkes University. He has 22 years of experience spanning both private and public practice. In addition to his business accounting and tax background, Les is also experienced in implementing a variety of accounting software applications including MAS90, Peachtree, and QuickBooks and Enterprise Solutions as an Advanced Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor. He also holds an AICPA "Certificate of Achievement for Controllers". Les is the webmaster for this website as well as the designer and author of most articles and content. Les is the accounting systems technology partner in the firm. Les also serves on the board of directors for a local health services agency.
Christopher T. Wills, CPA
Chris is a 1989 accounting graduate of the University of Maryland magna cum laude. Chris has 20 years of public accounting experience, including four years in the tax department at KPMG Peat Marwick. Chris's primary areas of expertise include income tax planning and business valuations. Chris served as the former President of the Emmaus Rotary Club and is presently Treasure of that club. He also serves on the board and as Treasurer of Notre Dame of Bethlehem, CYO. Chris is the tax partner in the firm who spends much of his time reseaching technical tax issues and reviewing business and individual tax returns prepared by staff.
Professional Staff
Roy W. Miller, CPA
Roy, now semi-retired, was the original founder of the practice in 1964 and the guiding force of growing the practice over several decades in conjunction with other partners. Roy began his accounting studies while serving in the United States Navy (1951 - 1955) as well as through Lasalle Extension University and Penn State University. He was a supervisor of operations in the cost accounting department at Air Products & Chemicals (1956 -1960). He began his public accounting career in 1960 in conjuntion with two other CPAs prior to stepping out on his own to begin the CPA firm that has now evolved into a significant component of our present day firm. Over the years, Roy has been an involved member in numerous professional organizations, boards of trustees and political involvements such as the Taxation and State Finance Committee and the Administration and Finance Committee of the Pennsylvania Constitutional Convention of 1967 - 1968. Roy and his wife Eleanor have resided in Salisbury Township since 1961.
Jeanne E. Saunders, CPA
Jeanne is a graduate of Penns State University. Her experience spans 20 years which included 4 years with KPMG Peat Marwick (2 years working abroad), and 3 years with the Federal Government. In addition to being a member in St. Thomas More Parish, Allentown, she is actively involved in the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania.
Chrisine M. Tobin, CPA
Christine joined our practive in August 2009 as part of our firm merger in the tax department. Christine is a 1996 summa cum laude graduate of DeSales University with a BS in Accounting degree. She joined Regan, Searles & Co. in 1997 and has over 10 years experience providing tax services to individual and corporate clients.
John R. Hannis, EA
John joined our practice in August 2009 as part of our firm merger and provides client accounting and tax preparation services.
Connie Berger
Connie joined our practice in August 2009 as part of our firm merger and provides client accounting and tax preparation services.
Sally A. Kratz
Sally is a graduate of West Chester University with a BS in Secondary Education - Mathmatics. Sally joined our firm in 2004 and provides bookkeeping, accounting, financial statement preparation and QuickBooks support services to our clients. She has also served as Treasurer of the Lehigh Parkway Elementary School Parent Teachers Association.
Jason M. Frack
Jason joined our practice in August 2009 as a senior accountant as part of our firm merger. A lifelong resident of Lehigh Valley, Jason graduated from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania in May of 2006 with a Bachelor's degree in accounting. While attending Kutztown, Jason was Treasurer/Secretary of the accounting club during yes junior year and Vice President during his senior year. Jason interned as a staff accountant at Concannon Miller & Co, PC and upon graduation, joined that firm for a period of one year. In January 2008, Jason joined Regan, Searles & Co and became a senior accountant there.
Ryan S. Blose
Ryan is graduate of Kutztown University and joins our firm as a staff accountant.
Renee E. Bachman
As a staff accountant with many years of experience, Renee provides much of our client bookkeeping and payroll tax services.
Catherine Croyle
Catherine works exclusively in the individual tax preparation client service areas of our practice where she brings many years of experience serving in this capacity.
Susan Chapkovich
Susan is exclusively dedicated to the preparation of individual tax returns within our firm.

AICPA "Peer Review" of our firm
As a member of the Private Companies Practice Section (PCPS) of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), our firm participates in the quality control requirements of "Peer Review" of the AICPA which is conducted every three years. Our most recent Peer Review was completed for the period ending June 30, 2007 at which time our firm received an "unmodified opinion" indicating that our firm has: "designed and complied with a system of quality control for its accounting and auditing practice that met the requirements of the quality control standards established by the AICPA during the period June 30, 2007" This report has been placed in the public files of the Division for CPA Firms.
